The SCCG played against the SEPCC Vienna in their sixth game of the ACA T20 Division 2 League on Saturday at 11:00 in Ballpark Graz. Tje SEPCC won the toss and put SCCG to bat first.

SCCG openers Jimmy and Saeed started off slowly but spectacularly putting the bad balls to the boundary. This was business as usual as both openers put on a solid start. With no wicket falling in power play, the SEPCC lost control over the innings as Jimmy nd Saeed scored consistently of every ball. Jimmy eventually was declared leg before at 41 runs in the 10th over but by then both openers had put up an 80+ score.

The captain Vikram joined Saeed at the crease and consistently rotated strike to the in form batsman. Saeed went on to score a spectacular 82 of just 51 balls before being unluckily bowled off an inside edge. Vikram and shirzad continued saeed’s efforts and at the end of 20 overs the SCCG had put up 168 runs on the board for the loss of just 4 wickets

The second innings started off with Shirzad and Shinwari bowling beautifully, but the SEPCC batsmen batted with high quality by scoring runs and getting on top of every slight error by the bowlers. The first wicket fell when shirzad bowled a beautiful bouncer and the batsman edged it to the keeper suhell.

Ghani, harun and ashok bowled exceptionaly well with variations to stop any partnership from building. However, the SEPCC batsman Manjinder Singh Sandhu scored a brilliant 64 off 46 balls. Eventually, the guests failed to reach the target by 20 runs as they could only put up 148/9 in the allotted 20 overs. Shirzad had the best figures for SCCG with 3/27 (4), and Ghani and harun completed their quota with 2 wickets each. Jimmy was slightly expensive but managed to take a wicket and ashok had to settle without a wicket but beautifully bowled to stop the run flow.
