The Austrian Cricket Association (ÖCV/ACA)

The SCCG represented by Karthik Bhat (Deputy Chairman) and Pratik Kunjir (General Secretary) attended the annual general assembly of the Austrian Cricket Association (ACA/ÖCV) on the 23/05/2020.

The SCCG’s application to participate in the ACA T20 league in the season of 2020 was submitted almost a month in advance for approval, and were therefore invited to attend the (online) Annual General Meeting of the ACA. During the online meeting, along with the general agenda for their annual general assembly, the ACA also discussed and the voting members voted on approving SCCG as a new affiliate member for the year 2020. Later in the meeting, the ACA also reminded the individual responsibilities of each member club and disclosed the new rules and regulations – to be followed while playing cricket with regards to the overall COVID-19 situation.

The SCCG representatives made a clear presentation of the club’s membership fee structure, intention of budgetary planning and other general information on club activities. Also, the club clearly stated its agreement to the new rules and regulations regarding COVID19, Fairplay and Harrassment on the cricket field. Once this was done, all the voting member clubs were in favor of SCCG’s application for the affiliate membership.

Further information on the club’s participation in the T20 League will be updated in the coming future, along with the ACA’s general decision on conducting the T20 League with regards to the general COVID-19 situation in the country.

The SCCG is thankful of the EC of the ACA, the voting members of the ACA and all others who supported the club. The club is also really thankful to Mr. Norris, Q., Competition manager ACA, for the timely and the systematic guidance offered through out the application process.
