Best in Graz (B.i.G) tournament 2019, Graz, Austria: the SCCG are runners up

After losing its first match, the SCCG remained undefeated throughout the tournament

The Best in Graz (B.i.G) tournament organized by the Ballpark Graz and GCA was conducted on 9th-11th August 2019 at the newly constructed cricket ground (Ballpark Graz) in the city of Graz, Austria. This tournament was conducted between the then 5 existing cricket clubs in Graz. The matches were played with white ball and the overs were initially limited to 15. Due to time restrictions, the tournament officials decided that the last few matches be conducted for 10 overs each. Fixtures were released by the organizers a week in advance, and the first match of the tournament was played between the SCCG and Afghan Steiermark Cricket Club (ASCC) on the evening of the 9th August. The SCCG lost to the ASCC by 12 runs failing to reach a target of 108 in 15 overs.

The SCCG went on to win their 3 remaining games of the tournament, and placed second in the tournament, while the ASCC won all 4 games and placed first in the table.
Some of the detailed information is as seen below. Only one batsman, Vikram from the SCCG, showed exceptional batsmanship throughout the tournament, and was placed in the list of top 10 batsmen of the tournament. Vikram scored 134 runs throughout the tournament and scored his highest runs (53) in the second match of SCCG, contributing to the total of 120 in 15 overs, which the SCCG defended and won by 18 runs.

Three SCCG bowlers (Karthik, Adil and Hasan) found 4th, 5th and 8th places in the top 10 bowlers of the tournament, with 6, 5 and 4 wickets respectively. The captain Adil even pulled a hat-trick (3 wickets in succession) in the third match of the SCCG.
